Lightweight, breathable CPC Gore-Tex* fabrics reduce overheating and fatigue while preventing liquid chemical splash. CPC Gore-Tex membrane is a Teflon* PTFE film with 0.2µm diameter pores-too small to let water droplets pass through but large enough for water vapor to escape, allowing body to cool. Garments are stitched with CPC Gore-Tex thread. All seams are heat and pressure sealed with Gore-Seam* tape to prevent liquid penetration. Fabrics are durable, flexible, tear and snag resistant, washable, and reusable. For chemical splash protection, choose red polyester oxford cloth (7 oz. per sq. yd.), bonded to CPC Gore-Tex membrane with polyester tricot lining. When flame protection is also required, choose blue Nomex IIIA flame-resistant fabric (6 oz. per sq. yd.), bonded to CPC Gore-Tex membrane with Nomex jersey lining. When exposed to flame, Nomex IIIA fiber carbonizes and becomes thicker, forming a protective barrier between heat source and skin. Coveralls. Feature two-way, heavy-duty, static-free zipper; double storm flap; stand-up collar; raglan sleeves; side slash pockets (not standard on Nomex and CPC Gore-Tex apparel); and, for secure closure and quick removal, hook-and-loop closures on storm flap, collar, sleeves, and leg bottoms. Jackets. Come with heavy-duty zipper; double storm flap; stand-up collar; raglan sleeves; and hook-and-loop closures on storm flap, collar, and sleeves. Sized to be worn over clothing. Bib Pants. Have elastic suspenders with quick-release clips for fast removal. Leg bottoms have hook-and-loop closures. Regular Hoods. Attach, by means of a hook-and-loop fastener, to back of collar on coveralls or jacket. Drawstring closure gives snug fit over hardhat. Note: CPC Gore-Tex fabric is vapor permeable and should not be used for protection against hazardous vapors, carcinogens, or other life-threatening materials. |
