The Discovery series full size vertical gel units excel at separating and isolating small molecular weight molecules such as peptides. They provide and even current flow, maximum safety and reduced wire breakage with pure platinum electrodes embedded into the acrylic. The special seal tubing and clips permit simple and quick leak-free plate assembly. The complete unit includes one electrophoresis unit, power supply leads, one glass plate set (1 notched, and 1 square with PVC side spacers attached), 1 Teflon 16 well comb, 1 tube seal (for .75 mm or 1.5 mm thick slabs), bottom spacer, 2 clips and instructions. Pour 10 gels at once with the casting stand available for 16.5 x 16.5 (cm) plate size.
