Labconco Hooded Combination Kjeldahl Digestion/Distillation Apparatus combine macro digestion and distillation processes for nitrogen determination of samples up to five grams into one space-saving unit. Hood surrounding the apparatus helps contain processing heat. Hood is constructed of epoxy-coated formed steel with horizontal-sliding, tempered safety glass sashes. Hood has one left-side and one lower access panel. A 100-watt, vapor-proof lamp is recessed under the hood canopy. Hood has an 8-5/8" ID exhaust outlet and an 8-5/8" ID auxiliary air connection (remote blowers are not included, but recommended). Six-Place Models are able to digest and distill up to six samples at one time. Twelve-Place Models are able to digest and distill up to twelve samples at one time. Choose units with Water Ejector Systems for fume removal (requires remote exhaust blower, not included). Models with Blowers include a left-side mounted 1/3 hp blower exhaust system for fume removal. Blower exhaust connection is sized for use with 6" nominal (6-5/8" OD) vent duct. All models have a frame constructed of epoxy-coated tubular steel. Features: 600 watt heaters operated by individual infinite-control knobs with variable input from 20-100% capacity; distillation manifold equipped with seamless stainless steel tubes and cooling water temperature gauge; and CPVC fume manifold fitted with Teflon nipples. Inlet and outlet water connections are 3/4" NPT. Supply line must be 1/2" ID minimum. Includes connecting bulbs, delivery tubes, 6" PVC pipe and flexible coupling with clamps.
