NAPCO has created a new design for the ultra-low temperature freezer market. The NapCoil, cooling-coils-in-the-shelf design is a new concept in this field. With the cooling coils in direct contact with the sample, freezing is very rapid, and sample temperature uniformity is improved. Preformed insulation blocks eliminate the possibility of uneven insulation and hot spots in the freezer compartment. Inner doors seal on the shelf edge so cold air stays in unopened compartments. The freeze-thaw cycle is eliminated and ice crystal growth is reduced. The combination of rapid freezing and stable sample temperature cuts cellular damage and protein denaturation. Two oversize ¾ hp compressors and an oversize first stage condenser eliminate the need for auxiliary cooling fans. This robust design assures long trouble-free service, lower power requirement and less noise. Interior is stainless steel while the exterior is epoxy on steel. CO2 backup is available upon request.
